You can save money on travel by getting cashback on your travel spending. If you make your purchase through the link on a cashback site you can earn a rebate of as much as 15% of the purchase price.
I find that accommodation booking, car hire, airport parking and travel insurance generally earn higher cashback rates than flight or package holiday bookings.
There are quite a number of UK cashback sites. I prefer to stick to using a couple, otherwise it can get a bit complicated. I find that TopCashBack.co.uk usually offers the best cashback deals.
Be aware that you may have to wait for months to get the cashback payment. You may lose the cashback if you use an unauthorised discount code (i.e. not shown on the cashback site) to make your booking.
You can further reduce your travel costs by paying with a cashback credit card, as long as there aren’t additional fees for credit card payment which may wipe out the value of any cashback and you pay off your balance in full every month.
However, take my advice on using UK cashback sites by only purchasing once you have done your research to check that you are paying the lowest possible price, versus the deal with the highest cashback.
