Today we had a walk in Alnmouth, on the Northumberland coast. Alnmouth used to be an important grain port, until a storm in the early 19th century changed the course of the River Aln. Nowadays the village is more of a tourist destination.
The Beach Hut, by the Aln estuary, has a display of photographs of the area.
