The Forth Road Bridge was very quiet as we drove south from Fife to South Queensferry last week. I took some photos, as normally the bridge is full of vehicles. The current road bridge may close to traffic once the new Forth Estuary bridge, the Queensferry Crossing, opens in 2016, so I thought it’d be good to have a pictorial record.
I was quite impressed by the clarity of the photos, taken with my Samsung ST200F camera (which cost £90), given that we were travelling at 50mph .
Although the barriers on the road bridge obscured a fair part of the Forth Rail Bridge, you can still see the distinctive dark red arches.
