Exterior of Tres Leuven
There’s a very swish looking bar and a mezzanine floor. I found it cold inside, I assume due to the height of the ceiling and the fact that it was a miserable evening. The music they were playing was really good.

In my opinion, the restaurant tries too hard to be trendy and doesn’t quite pull it off.
My Mozzarella & Tomato starter, served with one tiny roll, was way over-priced at 13.5 Euro.
My main course of Escalope a la Romano served with Tagliatelle & Tomato Sauce, priced at 19.5 Euro, was OK but the meat wasn’t very tender. At least the pasta was filling.
It was the most expensive restaurant at which I ate during my eight night blog trip and it served the worst food. That’s in relative terms; most of the food I ate in Flanders was excellent, leading me to dub my trip ‘Flanders is a Feast’.
I’d give Tres Leuven a miss if you want to eat some tasty, reasonably priced food and stay warm. I think they’d be better ditching the food and just being a bar.
