After a very cold night in Berwick upon Tweed, the temperature was still below freezing during our walk along the River Tweed from Tweedmouth. Thick frost defined the branches of the trees and bushes. There was a scattering of what looked like white pine needles on the ground; the result of the breeze blowing some of the frost off the branches.
