I stayed for three nights at the 4 star Radisson Blu Waterfront Jersey (Channel Islands) on a complimentary basis during my Nottingham/Jersey trip in May 2010. The hotel is on the St Helier waterfront at Elizabeth Marina and has a large car park which is free of charge for guests. It only takes a few minutes to walk into the centre of St Helier.

The lobby is very attractive with views over the marina and a floor to ceiling fish tank.

I stayed in room 339, a standard sea view room and what a view over towards Elizabeth Castle.

It was a “chic” style (pretty minialist) room with a kingsize bed. The desk was at the window so I was able to take in the view while working on my laptop on the free wired internet connection. There is also free wifi throughout the hotel but I didn’t pick up a very good signal in my room, the signal was much stronger in the lobby. If only all hotels offered free internet connection to their guests. All rooms have a safe and fridge.

The only niggle I had about the room was that there was hardly any space to hang clothes. There was an interconnecting door to the adjacent room but I didn’t hear any noise at all, I’m pretty sure that the room was occupied as I saw the Do Not Disturb sign on the door handle one morning.
The bathroom was a good size with an over bath shower which had a shower screen (I just don’t like shower curtains). The toiletries were lovely. The ribbed towels were much softer than usual hotel towels.
I enjoyed the marina view while having breakfast.

The breakfast buffet was excellent, with plenty of hot and cold dishes.
If you’re planning a trip to Jersey and looking for somewhere special to stay, my Europe travel tip would be to check out the Radisson Blu Waterfront. It’s in a great location with free parking, the rooms are spacious and well equipped, there’s free wired internet connection and wifi and the breakfast is excellent. I’d recommend paying the supplement for a sea view room.
