Ozzy Mania hits Dublin: Fans queue for Ozzy Osbourne’s book signing
Written by Karen Bryan
Dublin was gripped by Ozzy Mania as the rock star Ozzy Osbourne was in the Irish capital on his book signing tour for the launch of his new book, “I am Ozzy”. I was alerted to Ozzy’s forthcoming appearance when I observed a long queue forming ouside a bookshop in St. Stephen’s Green Shopping Centre at 10:00 this morning for Ozzy’s 15.00 arrival.

Me with some of Ozzy’s fans
I decided to return in the afternoon and was amazed that the queue was now snaking round the back of the shopping centre. I spoke to some of Ozzy’s devoted fans to see how they were bearing up after their long wait.
Now there was a posse of press photographers in front of the signing table in prime position. I attempted to join them as the blogging world’s representative but I was turned away as press registration had closed in the morning. My pleas of exceptions for visiting foreign press fell on deaf ears so I’m afraid no close ups of Ozzy for the Europe a la Carte Blog.

Tickets there – thanks for the link to your post with the photo of Ozzy signing your book. I was up on the first floor when Ozzy arrived and not sure if Ozzy can be made out in my photos, will find out on my return as I don’t have photo editing on my netbook.
