The winner of the Europe a la Carte Twitter competition (1) is Cristina who writes for BootsnAll, aka as @WhyGoGreece on Twitter. Cristina wins a one year worldwide subscription to the Indie Travel Podcast Magazine.

Cristina correctly named the location of the Twitter background photo as Newquay in Cornwall. She commented that ” what she most enjoys about Europe a la Carte is that you get the feeling that the information is genuine and the writer totally enjoyed what he visited. Not to mention , it makes me want to pack and leave!”

The Europe a la Carte Blog is launching a fantastic new Twitter competition today with some great prizes up for grabs. To win all you have to do is name the destination in the background photo of my @karenbryan Twitter page. I’ll be giving clues on Twitter during the week to help you work out the background photo location You’ll also need to tell us what you most enjoy about reading the Europe a la Carte Blog to enter the competition.

The destination displayed on the Twitter page background has been written about in the Europe a la Carte Blog. You must leave your answer as a comment on this blog post. Can you also say what you most like most about the Europe a la Carte Blog, in case we require a tiebreaker. The tiebreaker kicks in if either no-one gets the destination correct or if more than one person gives the correct destination, so I can still choose a winner by judging the most entertaining answer to the tiebreaker question.

The prize:

An annual worldwide subscription to the (hard copy) edition of the fab Indie Travel Podcast Magazine. New issues, crammed with great worldwide travel writing and photography, come out in February, June, September and December each year. The magazine is part of the Indie Travel Podcast travel media network run by @craig_martin and @lindajmartin.
