TravelBrandTwt, assisting travel brands to maximise Twitter’s potential, launches today. As travel blog editor @karenbryan I’ve spent a lot of time on Twitter recently and come to the conclusion that a service to manage travel brands’ Twitter accounts will prove extremely popular. Not all travel brands have the knowledge, time or inclination to manage their own Twitter account.

Travel Brand Twitter

Don’t bury your head in the sand, make Twitter work for your travel brand. With expert help from TravelBrandTwt, your travel brand can be a big bird in Twitter.

Some travel brands may have dismissed Twitter as a transient fad but are now realising that it’s time to get tweeting. So, if you want to venture into Twitterland but aren’t sure where to start, if you’d prefer to hand over the management of your Twitter account to an expert, or are not entirely satisfied with your current Twitter account manager, TravelBrandTwt is here to assist.

One of the keys of effective Twitter usage is keeping your finger on the pulse. TravelBrandTwt will be dipping in and out of Twitter from morning until evening seven days a week because, after all, Twitterers are online weekends and evenings too. Another crucial aspect is that Twitter is a social network, so TravelBrandTwt will interact, as appropriate and in a manner pre-agreed with you, with other travel Twitterers.

Complete the online survey so I can assess how to make Twitter work for your travel brand and I’ll get back to you with an outline Twitter action plan.

Alternatively, you can contact me by email (info at travelbrandtwt.com) or phone (+44 (0)1289 309330 to discuss your requirements.

  1. That’s a brilliant idea! I have seen many travel companies’ Twitter pages, and while some are very active, others are very lifeless. Some have lots of Tweets, but they don’t hold value for the reader or they show no interaction with other Tweeps. This is very smart — I have a feeling a lot of companies can benefit from this.

  2. Emily – seeing lifeless updates on some travel brands Twitter page gave me the idea that a number of travel companies would find TravelBrandTwt a useful service. Twittermania has reached the stage that many companies feel that they must have a Twitter account but unless they are going to be active and interactive, then they are never going to make Twitter work for them. Having a dedicated Twitter account manager is a simple, cost effective solution to maximising Twitter’s potential.

  3. Interesting idea. We also saw a big effort by travel companies to get on Twitter recently, many without a direction. Hence the whole twavel.com idea. We’ll look out for you.

  4. Dorian – thanks for your comment. I agree that travel/leisure brands really need to know what they want their Twitter presence to achieve for them, not just open a Twitter account to jump on the bandwagon.

Even when travel/leisure brands know their Twitter aims, it still takes a fair bit of time, effort, dedication and knowledge to get the most our of Twitter. That’s why I believe that travel/leisure brands can benefit from engaging TravelBrandTwt to do the legwork for them.

Twavel is a great Twitter resource for finding travel deals. Personally I’d like to see different steams for different location eg one of UK based travel deals.

  5. Hi Karen. Agreed, this is a new marketing sphere for most companies and a lot of them will need help just to understand the concept. It takes most people a while to see what this twitter lark is all about.

Different deals depending on your location is already built into Twavel. We just don’t have than many U.K. companies posting deals yet. We’re working on it.

  6. Dorian – It does take some time to forumulate an affective Twitter strategy, never mind the execution. It’s really quite complex getting it right. Perhaps this deters some travel/leisure brands from taking the plunge into Twitter. Or they give up after an initial flurry of somewhat directionless tweeting. That’s precisely why TravelBrandTwt will be a real asset to them.

I will tweet to see if I can attract some more UK companies to post deals on Twavel.
