Berwick upon Tweed Film Festival 2009, 18 – 20 September

The 5th Berwick upon Tweed Film Festival “Drawing the Lines” runs from 18 – 20 September. On offer is a selection of films screened at The Maltings including classics such as Laurel and Hardy and Woody Allen’s “Sleeper”, the world premiere of “Tokyo is Dreaming”, a documentary about Sighthill in Glasgow and various short films.

Maltings film tickets cost £5 (£4 concessions) or you can buy a festival pass for £18 (£14 concessions). It’s free of charge to go to the video installations and screenings at The Gymnasiun, Bankhill Icehouse and The Prison Cells.

It’s easy to reach Berwick upon Tweed by rail from Edinburgh and Newcastle, so you can have a film themed day out in beautiful Berwick.

Have you been to previous Film Festivals in Berwick? I’ve been a volunteer steward and custodian at the 2007 and 2008 Festivals, which I’ve really enjoyed.
