I&#039;ve had a lot of great responses to my fictional memoir and your critical remarks reminds me that there are different books for different tastes and interests. (I obviously missed your funnybone.) &quot;You love who you love&quot; is an important theme of my story; I&#039;m trying to introduce the concept of what I call &quot;the enlightened heart&quot; in a way that provokes thoughtful consideration. The Greek characters and Sarah&#039;s interactions with them --mostly funny -- are meant to be the book&#039;s central focus. I&#039;m glad you enjoyed the recipes, and don&#039;t worry about making them yourself or visiting Greece. One of the miracles of the Mediterranean diet is that it isn&#039;t all that calorie heavy--especially if you swim in those warm clear seas now and then.
