Review of Abode Hotel Manchester
Written by Karen Bryan
I stayed for 2 nights, on a complimentary basis, at the Abode Hotel Manchester during the Summer 09 UK Blogging Tour. The former 18th century textile building is located a couple of minutes walk from Manchester’s main rail station, Piccadilly.

The hotel stairwell is beautiful, with tiled walls and some stained glass windows. I loved the large bed in the room and found it to be really comfortable. The rain head shower was very refreshing. The free wifii was fast and reliable. However I had a couple of niggles. The safe was almost at ground level, so I had to kneel on the floor to access it. Also there was no power socket close to the tea and coffee making facilities, so I had to put the kettle on the floor in order to reach the nearest socket.
Breakfast was very good and the freshly made Danish Pastries were the best I’ve ever had (and I’ve scoffed a few of these in my day). In fact the Continental selection was so good that one morning I didn’t bother with the cooked breakfast option.

Ya Abode Hotel Manchester is best hotel. I have been there in sept 2008. I like this hotel very much the service of this hotel is fantastic.
Maureen – glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay at the Abode Manchester too. I liked the fact that the hotels had some charachter due to it being in a beautiful old building as opposed to a modern box.
