The Falls of Braan, The Hermitage, Scotland

The Falls of Braan are at The Hermitage in Perthshire. The wooded area is sigmposted off the A9, just north of the Dunkeld exit. There are several marked walks through the woods.

One of the best spots for viewing the Falls of Braan is Ossian’s Hall, an 18th century folly creaded by the Duke of Atholl, perched above the Falls of Braan. The Hall has been recently renovated by the National Trust for Scotland with the addition of glass door at the entrance to the semi circular viewing area. I’m not a fan of the new colour scheme and wall murals in the interior of Ossian’s Hall.

I love visiting The Hermitage, it’s beautiful at any time of year.
