We got to four of the seven cologne xmas markets and they were absolutely fantastic. It is just partying and shopping all day long. Drink the gluvein, protection against the cold December air, eat whole steaks as kebabs, have a bag of fries,try a waffle with baileys and cream and survey the incredible array of xmas gifts. The Alstadt (old town) is about the best with the Fairy Tale market on Rudolfplatz a close second, but they are all good.

Yes, it will cost you if you book this late. But I’m sure the Bath one must be lovely. Seriously, who doesn’t love a good Christmas Market!

I think I may have left it to late to go to one of the German Christmas markets, so I’ll be popping over to see the one in Bath. Maybe I’ll plan in Cologne for next year, it seems you’re spoilt for choice.
