Photo Friday at Delicious Baby – Lake Iseo
Written by Karen BryanDebbie at Delicious Baby has started new feature, Photo Friday where you can submit a travel photo. I decided to showcase photos of my beloved Lake Iseo in northern Italy. The first photo is of the view to Monte Isola the largest lake island in Europe from the banks of Lake Iseo.
The second photo is of the Pyramids of Zone, the striking stone pillars with their mushroom shaped hats.
The third photo is of Pisogne, a town on the north eastern shores of Lake Iseo.
So if you’d like to participate in Photo Fridays the submission deadline is 12 noon PST every Friday.

What a nice idea! I have often added places to my must-see list just because of a photo.
I was just there a couple of weeks ago. I’m writing a book on Milan and The Lakes. Absolutely love it. Although Orta is my favorite.
Andy, why don’t you submit some of your photos?
Lara, reassured to hear that you loved Lake Iseo too, sometimes when I rant about a place I wonder if other people who visit will be disappointed but that hasn’t happened with Lake Iseo yet.
I haven’t made it to Lake Orta yest.
I might just do that Karen!
Thanks so much for adding your picture to Photo Friday, I haven’t visited this area & it looks absolutely beautiful.
Andy, I hope you’ll add some of your photos too!
Debbie, I hope that you’ll get a lot of interesting photo submission on Photo Friday.
If you travel to Iseo lake, don’t forget to vist a little town located near lovere (north side of the lake- bergamo province).
Entering the town coming from Lovere or Pisogne, on your right, you will find a pretty “Murales”, result of the children council 2009, indicating the intersting sights of the tawn…just follow blue and red arrows and enjoy your exploring!
rafaella – thanks for telling us about the Murales. What is the name of the town near Lovere in which the Murales are located.
I haven’t been to Lake Iseo for a few years now but when I return I will certainly visit there.
