One of the best ways to see all the beaches is to follow the Fife Coastal Path. You can spend 5 – 7 days walking along the 150 kms path or have a shorter walk on one of the sections.

  1. Have you been in Canary Island? There are some beautiful beaches. Specially in Fuerteventura, like Cofete or Jandía or in Gran Canaria, like Maspalomas.

  2. Diana, we were in Fuerteventura in November 2007 and the beaches there were fantastic. Although the weather in Scotland may not be as good as the Canaries some of the beaches are beautiful although rather chilly for swimming even on a warm day.

  3. It is always good to see that other people appreciate our beaches in Scotland as much as we do. It always seems when thinking of holidays that Scotland is the last place to consider, even so that we do have really great places to go.

  4. Michael – Thanks for your comment, I agree that we Brits often think holidays – jump on plane to go somewhere warmer. There are some lovely beaches in the UK but especially on East Coast you probably need a wet suit to enjoy swimming.
