We always carry some drinks and food with us as it's great to be able to stop and have a drink or picnic is you see a scenic location when you are driving around. Using Google maps to plot your course can be a big help too. We also carry plenty of water and snacks. There's nothing like an empty belly at mealtime to make everyone grumpy... especially if you're lost or stuck in traffic. Have fun in Umbria!
