I managed to ascertain that the Travelodge and date of rooms were required were indeed being offered at £19 - great - or so I thought.
Trying to book one - IMPOSSIBLE - after four atempts yesterday evening and six attempts today - still the site will not accept my booking. The booking is in four stages - it allows you to get through the first three - after that it hangs up. I have even tried using another email address, I did wonder if it was my card that was not being accepted as for the Maestro the booking form kept requesting the date the card was valid from but everyone knows Maestro do not have an initial validation date on the card - only an expiry date, hence my trying to use my Visa card - still to no avail. Also the section of the address form needs to be changed. It should enable you to put in your address as it is listed on your bank statement but when I try to put this in it automatically alters it so that the number of the house and the address are separated and the name of the road is entered twice…..very disappointed.

I’m sorry to hear that you’ve had so much hassle trying to book a Travelodge room. I know that the site can get very busy and won’t load sometimes. I have booked rooms on many occasions. I registered with the site which means I don’t have to enter my details for every booking that I make, I just log in. Could you try this?

I don’t have any experience of using a Maestro card. I’ve used Visa or Amex on the site.

I know it is really frustrating when you are trying to book something and you can’t. I can only suggest that you email Travelodge and report your problems to them.
