We’d all love to travel more but there are generally budget restrictions. Youplanet are offering an Ambassador programme where you can earn money whilst travelling by selling Youplanet placement to restaurants, hotels and experience providers. Suppliers who sign up as partners pay 120 euros a year to promote their business within the travel community and the Ambassador receives around 30 euros commission per sale.
I’d say that Youplanet have more to gain from this arrangement as Ambassadors pay their own travel expenses and are only paid on partner sign up. I’m not sure how easy it would be to convince suppliers to part with 120 euros to sign up with Youplanet. I assume if Youplanet becomes better known and can prove that it offers a valuable service to suppliers sign up will become easier.
If you’re travelling I’d advise you to have access to funds to finance your trip personally, I wouldn’t bank on paying your expenses from the Youplanet commission. Having said that it could be worth donning your Ambassador hat for the opportunity to earn some extra spending money.
