Budget seaside family holidays in southern England
Welcome to my blog, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
If you’re looking for a budget break on the coast in the south of England Park Holidays have 23 caravan parks, where you can have a short break from as little as £69. You can choose between lively or quiet parks in Devon, Dorset, Essex, Kent, Suffolk and Essex.
I stayed in many static caravans for holidays when our sons were young and thought that they were excellent value for money. I never fancied camping and youth hostelling as budget options but static caravans with protection from the elements, running water, toilet, shower and cooking facilities were an acceptable budget option as holiday cottages and hotels can be rather expensive.

On the subject of Dorset - readers might be interested to find out more about rockpooling with children at Kimmeridge bay in Dorset. We’ve spent many a happy hour dipping in the pools looking for crabs and fish….and apart from a couple of quid for parking, its totally free.

I have travelled a lot through many countries with my family and have to say that the cheapest and easiest way of doing it was to hire a caravan. It gave us so much freedom and flexibility that you just can’t get with tours or cars - go at your own pace, and see as many wonderful sights along the way as you can. Dorset sounds like a great place so i will be taking my caravan there next time I am in the UK
