Hotelscombined find the best rates in Bremen, Germany

I’ve been searching for accommodation in Bremen for my trip to Germany in April using the HotelsCombined price comparison site. I’ve decided just to stay in Bremen for my final night as I’m mainly going to visit Hamburg. I want to stay in centre of Bremen so I don’t have to carry my luggage far from the station and so I can easily walk around to explore.

Many of the cheaper hotels were located several kilometres from the city centre and most of them didn’t include breakfast in the price so I decided to go for the InterCity hotel which is right in the city centre close to the railway station and most of the reviews are favourable. The price was 66 euros for a single and 76 euros for a double room including hot buffet breakfast, plus a 2.5% credit card processing fee.
HotelsCombined certainly found the best prices quickly as another supplier was selling the single room at 111 euros and the double at 127 euros, almost double the lowest price. Even the hotels own website was quoting 87 euros for a single room and 97 euros for a double room with an additional charge of 13 euros per person for breakfast. However if you are aged over 65 the hotel’s website offers a single room for 60 euros and a double room for 80 euros. Their 65+ rates include breakfast. Therefore booking directly with the hotel is only cheaper for a guest aged 65+ who requires a single room.
