I've heard a lot of people diss Kilmarnock over the years and with good cause but I visited it a couple of days ago and could see a dramatic change. Not before time.
I see that they are renovating and re-using some of those listed buildings which can be renovated and re-used. In a few months, people will be glad to alight at Kilmarnock train station to spend some time in Kilmarnock town.
The new cafe at the cross was a welcome site (and aroma).
