Europe a la Carte TV?

I read an article today about the future of TV travel programmes. I came to the conclusion that I should make a “Europe a la Carte” TV travel series showcasing some of less well known destinations in Europe about which I’ve written. There appears to be demand for niche, specialised programmes which avoid the over hyped, overcrowed tourist traps which have already been covered countless times. Viewers are looking for an authentic experience with a host who can inject some personality into the show.

Yes, I can just imagine a programme about Lake Iseo in Italy or Perthshire in Scotland.

Many travel programmes that I’ve watched over the years, the BBCs “Holiday” springs to mind, only seem to scratch the surface of a destination, featuring 3 -4 destinations in a 30 minute slot.

What type of travel show do you most enjoy?
