How many sites do you visit to book a holiday?
Welcome to my blog, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
According to research by Google, UK consumers are spending an average of one month, visiting 22 websites before booking their holiday. Consumers spend time comparing products from competing websites and are likely to make 4 visits to the website of the tour operator with which they finally book.
It’s tough out here for travel companies to clinch that sale with all this searching. What I’m wondering is it mainly price on which they are searching and how much do they actually save by spending all this time online? I know when I did my research for my recent DIY holiday I was looking for value for money but also a one bed apartment on half board, so we’d have the combination of space and the convenience of meals. The main reason I ended up visiting so many sites was because I was unable to book the accommodation on the website where I initially found the lowest price for my chose acommodation.
How many sites do you think you visit on average when booking your holiday?
