New Travelodge opens in Edinburgh on 14 December 2007

The lastest addition to the Travelodge family opens in Haymarket, close to Edinburgh city centre on 14 December 2007. It’s a good location close to Haymarket rail station and the Edinburgh International Conference Centre. I couldn’t find any information about parking on the Travelodge site but I’m pretty certain that you’ll have to pay to park even if they have their own car park.  There should be some on free overnight street parking close by.  I did find some rooms available at Saver rate of £19 over the next few weeks, if you book at least 3 weeks in advance and £29 if you book at least one week in advance.

If you’re in Edinburgh for leisure you’d probably be better staying at the Edinburgh Central Traveloodge as it’s closer to the city centre and the main railway station of Waverly.

There are 2 other Travelodges in the Edinburgh area, Dreghorn, just off the A720 City Bypass and Musselburgh, just off the A1 at the east of the city.
