Travelrepublic.co.uk, an online travel agency, has been named No 1 in the UK Sunday Times Virgin Fast Track 100 league table with an impressive 284% increase in annual sales. Travelmole reports that this is the first occasion on which a travel company has topped the league of fastest growing privately owned UK companies.
I must admit that I’ve only vaguely heard of Travelrepublic and know very little about them. Their founders, three university friends. claim that the company’s attention to high standards of customer service brings a high percentage of repeat bookings and recommendations. I had a quick look at their site and wasn’t that impressed with the site design or colour scheme. Have you used Travelrepublic, how would you rate them?
Another travel firm, Alpharooms.com, a hotel and apartment booking agency, made it into the Top 20 of the Fast Track 100, with a relatively modest annual growth rate of 121%. I have found some good deals on hotels with Alpharooms.
