Has an elephant slept in my hotel bed?

When you next climb in to a hotel bed and feel the mattress sagging and the spring coils digging into you, you might think “Did an elephant sleep here last night?”

The answer is more likely to be that a bed jumper was the previous occupant. The Bedjunp.com site extols the virtues of the “pastime’ as being “naughty, fun and free”.
I’m not sure that the hotel owners would agree. Bedjump does state that they won’t show photos which promote the damage of hotel property. I would have thought that “taking a running start and launching over the mattress” which then has to absorb the landing from this leap would have detrimental effects on the mattress.
Do you think you may become a devotee of bedjumping? Perhaps the next step will be hotels insisting that you sign a “no bedjumping” clause when you check in?
