Virtual Fear at the Berwick Film Festival

Welcome to my blog, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

I’ve been anxiously looking at the weather forecast because I am a volunteer custodian at the exposed Coxon’s Tower, part of the town walls, on the Artist Trail from 12.00 - 14.00 this afternoon. I’ve been told that there will be a tent for me to seek shelter. Fingers crossed, so far, it’s dry and calm (Berwick can be pretty windy). However I’ve my thermals and padded waterproof trousers on standby.

Aptly the short film being screened at Coxon’s Tower is called “Virtual Fear” by Janine Sack, a German artist based in Berlin. You’ll watch the film through the bars in the door into the lower part of the tower. The film which lasts for four minutes using various techniques in a virtual reality setting to build up suspense.

Update 13.00 Sept 21

Glad to report that the tent and waterproof trousers were superfluous to requirements and I was able to brave the elements for my two hour stint.
