Icehouse Soundmaker at Berwick Film Festival
Written by Karen Bryan
This afternoon I’m a volunteer custodian at the Bankhill Icehouse on the Artist Trail at the Berwick Fim Festival. The Icehouse was built in the 18th century, it was a large commercial icehouse, mainly used to store fish.
The film here is “The Soundmaker” by the German artist, Julian Rosefeldt, which runs fro 35 minutes. There were be three screens, two showing a sound engineer in a studio constructing a sound track and the third screen showing the scene for which the sound track is being made.
