Ryanair add more confusion to total travel cost

Welcome to my blog, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

Ryanair is to introduce a £2 per person airport check in charge for bookings made from 20 September 2007.  It is free of charge to check in online, however you can only check in online if you have no hold baggage.  There is already a £5 per bag charge for hold baggage. Ryanair does have a fairly generous 10 kgs weight limit on hand luggage.

If you check in online you are automatically eligible for priority boarding, if you want to take hold luggage and also have priority boarding you have to pay an additional £2 per person.

I thought that there was supposed to clarity and transparency in air travel ticket pricing. This is pretty complicated and basically means if you want to check in one piece of hold luggage and get priority boarding you’ll have to pay an additional £9 per flight adding another £18 to the price you’ll pay for a return flight.
