Travelodge are trialling their new Travelpods (portable hotel rooms) and you could be one of the first to try out this luxurious alterative to camping if you enter their competition. The Travelpods will have air conditioning, heating, running water, electric light and a luxury bed with duvet. The portable rooms are aimed at festival goers who are looking for a bit more comfort and some rooms will be available at the Saver rate of £26 during the trial period. I wonder what they will cost during a festival? Do you think that staying in this type of accommodation will detract from the festival experience or be a welcome departure from damp, cold nights under canvas?
