My latest UK destination guide to East Lothian is now online. East Lothian lies to the east of Edinburgh. East Lothian has miles of coastline along the North Sea with several lovely beaches, such as North Berwick pictured below. There’s a Seabird Centre in North Berwick and trips around the Bass Rock in Summer.

I really like East Lothian because of the variety of the coastal and inland landscapes and towns and villages. East Lothian is an ideal day out if you are staying in Edinburgh. although the area does merit a stay of a few days.
