I read a fascinating article about Virtual Tourism Evidently there is a growing demand for travel services in the virtual world of Second Life. There are more than 1000 regions, making it really difficult to navigate your way around. Tours are being arranged and guidebooks published to assist the virtual travellers

Are you attracted by virtual travel? I think I’d rather do the real thing, although the thought of road testing a destination a sort of “try before you buy” approach could be useful in planning a trip. I feel that TV already does give you some form of virtual travel from your armchair. I suppose online virtual travel can be more interactive. I just wish that the “Energiser” from Star Trek had become a reality and I could be beamed up to reach my destination in seconds!
