		<description>I&#039;m sure it&#039;s true that many people intend to visit their local area and never get around to it. As you say in theory they can do it anytime.  

I do appreciate that in the UK everyone has at least 4 weeks paid holiday from work, I believe in North America paid holiday entitlement is not so generous.</description>

		<description>In the past, when we moved to other cities, we acted the tourists and visited all kinds of interesting sites.  Our new neighbors often commented that they had never been to some of those places.  It occurred to me that I hadn&#039;t seen several sites in my own hometown.  

I think everyone should take some time and tour the place they live.  Get a travel guide for your city and explore the area.  Sometimes people put it off, thinking they can do it anytime, but then they never do.

Because of that, and for all the great reasons listed above, I agree that sometimes it is good to stay home for your holiday.</description>
