St Abbs: A pretty fishing village in the Scottish Borders

St Abbs is a small village on the south east coast of the Scottish Borders. It’s very popular for scuba diving due to the very clear sea water. It’s been a voluntary marine reserve since 1984. The National Nature Reserve is located at St Abbs Head. the rocky headland you can see in the photo below.

It was a lovely sunny afternoon when I was there on Thursday. There’s a pub and a cafe with outdoor seating, some picnic benches and public toilets.

The Eyemouth Fishing Disaster Memorial is located at St Abbs with the bronze figures looking out to sea.
