Airport queues will be reduced to five minutes

Written by Karen Bryan

British Airports Authority has pledged to cut waiting times at its airports to no more than 5 minutes for 95% of passengers. BAA will spend 40 million pounds to reduce queues at its seven UK airports. More security staff will be recruited to operate 22 new security lanes. However I did spot in the press release that “reduced congestion and better airport facilities would only cost a few pounds more per passenger.” Are you happy to pay more to queue for a few minutes less?
I don’t think I’ve ever had to wait more than 10 minutes, However I generally travel off peak days and times. What is the longest it has taken you to get through security?
