Ramshackle start to increase in air travel tax in UK

Sounds like a recipe for more delays and confusion at airports with the start of the increase in APD bites next month. Passengers who have already paid for their tickets will be charged the increase in APD by the low cost airlines. This is being done by different methods by different carriers.
I think that it is really unfair that the airlines are being left to act as unpaid tax collecters. antagonising their customers in the process. Are you affected by this or are you fortunate that your airline, such as BA is absorbing the cost?
