I was quite relieved to read this article saying the willingness to be uncertain was one of the most important attributes of being a travel writer. That being open minded combined with fresh eyed unfamiliarity can be a virtue.
I find travel writing really hard to do. My aim is to get over a feel and flavour of the destinaiton about which I am writing. I need to have some facts and information too. If somebody read my article and though that they would really like to visit there, then I feel I would have accomplished my aim.
