Easyjet have started a speedy boarding service. If you pay a fee of between £2.50 and £7.50 per person per flight you will be called for boarding first, giving you the best chance to be first on board and have the first choice of seats. However if you read the small print they say that where passengers are taken by bus to the plane that they can not guarantee that Speedy Boarders will be first off the bus.
Surely the simplest thing to do would be to allocate seats and avoid the mad stampede in the first place. You could be allocated a seat when you booking your flight and your seat number could be printed on your booking confirmation.
