Am I on the right track?

I read that the PricewaterhouseCoopers have just publlished a report outlining the highly unpredictable nature of the travel industry in the UK. There is an increase in the variety of holidays taken and in late bookings. Customer are taking more trips annualy and feeling more confident about booking directly with suppliers. The report concludes that travel companies will need to specialise more, in terms of specific customer profiles, destinations and activities.
Therefore by specialising in less well known destinations in Europe a la Carte, I hope that I am following a profitable route.






[...] The majority of online travel shoppers are focusing on price. Evidently comsuners don’t care who they buy from they just look at the price. The report says that travel businesses have to work harder to attract potential customers to their site by offeriing something more. This builds upon an earlier post where I felt that I was on the right track with my business. I knew from the start that as a small business I could not compete on price alone, I would have to go for a niche market. Let’t hope that the future is as the report predicts and the by providing unusual products and exclusive content in my destination guides and articles, that my business will grow and prosper. [...]
