Guide to Stirling
Written by Karen Bryan
I lived in the Stirling area in central Scotland for 18 years. Stirling is not one of the top destinations in Scotland, however I think it should be. It has a majestic castle, the Wallace Momument and the site of the Battle of Bannockburn. The city is framed by the Ochil Hills to the north. You can read more about Stirling in my guide.
Do you think that we sometimes take our hometown for granted and don’t really appreciate it?

I am an amatuer writer with copies going to select shutins, friends who appreciate the use of words with a bit of imagination thrown in. Have wanted to do a story of Scotland for quite a while with a small town setting. Seems that your description in your blog is made to order and hope you don’t mind if I used a description now and then. Again I assure that nothing from my keyboard is for sale. Thanks for finding me a town that will be home for my make believe family. Jo Asterman
Jo, I’m really looking forward to reading your story set in Stirling. It’s 2 years since I moved from Stirling but I was there today meeting up with a friend. It is a lovely small city..
