Hotelshopuk are specialists in last minute short breaks in the UK with accommodation in hotels from a 2 to 5 star rating. I think that their website is very user friendly and they have some good prices.

Skoosh aims to take away the risk of booking a dodgy hotel. Every hotel on their database has been personally visited with a description added alongside guest reviews. Only guests who stayed at the establishment and booked through Skoosh can enter a review. Hotels which consistently receive good reviews are awarded “Tried & Tested” status. You can specify only to view these hotels during your search. I've used Skoosh, they have some good free nights and early booking offers and their site is easy to navigate.
